Commissioning Guide

low level palletizer

A low level palletizer decision is comparable only after infeed height, pallet-discharge path and unstable-case transfer tests are locked. This commissioning guide is a decision dossier for project interfaces, not an engineering certificate and not a published discount. Resolve those items before ranking factory wholesale quotes.

Project interfaces: Sample run

Process the lightest and most unstable cases through orientation, grouping and layer transfer at the quoted floor-level infeed. Record stack alignment and case crush. A price that omits the trial cases is a frame price, not an accepted-pallet price. If a high-level public example is offered as a substitute, treat it as a different interface and ask for a low-level layout of its own.

Site readiness

Confirm anchoring, three-phase supply, compressed air, PLC handshake and the empty-pallet magazine location before treating installation as included. Pallet dispensers, slip-sheet inserters and stretch wrappers change installed cost without changing the machine headline. Ask the factory to restate Incoterms so freight is not assumed as a warehouse handoff. Footprint in millimetres should include operator access at floor level.

Owner acceptance

Does the first accepted pallet after a pattern change count inside quoted changeover time? Inspect those pallets after the SKU mix the plant actually runs. Keep a setup record for each agreed layer drawing. Layer Palletizer Sourcing can circulate the same acceptance questions; the buyer and the chosen factory still sign SAT on the purchase contract.

Limitations that belong on the dossier: a low-level infeed cannot be treated as interchangeable with a high-level infeed without a new elevation drawing; bag-model throughput cannot validate a case trial; robotic-arm payload is outside this cluster. Use the catalog inquiry options when you already know the equipment family, and keep package-and-pattern naming aligned with pallet-supply interfaces before you treat any figure as comparable.
